National Week of Action to Protect TPS Families - October 6th to 10th, 2025
Over the past couple of months, the Trump Administration has revoked TPS protection for hundreds of thousands of people who have been living and working in the United States for decades. Turning TPS holders into "illegal immigrants" and forcing them to leave the country will upend not just their lives, but also force many U.S. citizen children into a shattering, impossible dilemma. They will have to lose their parents to deportation or leave their homes forever in the only country they have ever known.
Recently, an 11-year-old U.S. citizen, whose mother was a TPS holder from Honduras, wrote a letter to her elected officials. In it, she wrote, "Ever since my mother came home and told me that the TPS was canceled, I was devastated. I know it wasn't fair as an American citizen that I had to choose between living with my mom in a foreign country or staying here without my parent."
The National TPS Alliance, joined by the Massachusetts TPS Committee, is calling for a National Week of Action to Protect TPS Families during the week of October 6th through 10th. We are asking unions, faith-based organizations, and community groups to stand with us to fight for families with TPS across the country who are losing their legal status, their ability to work or run their business, and facing impossible decisions that could separate their families. Sign up below to host an action in your local community!
